A triathlon is a multiple stage competition involving the completion of three continuous and sequential endurance disciplines. The most popular are swimming cycling and running in immediate succession over various distances.
Last summer I became a triathlete for the first time. I was inspired and motivated by a wonderful man, and very grateful for that experience. I love exercise, running, yoga and dancing, however triathlons are endurance sports and during the process of becoming a triathlete, I overcame a lot of challenges, one of them was the fear of swimming. I had a traumatic experience as a child and even though I love the beach, I always kept myself away from deep ocean.
I am going to start training very soon for my second triathlon and I will keep you all updated of my training! Maybe I will push myself a little more and will do an olympic triathlon instead of a sprint, we will see.
